Our Process

Like people, every project is different. And each one comes with its own set of opportunities. And yet, our six-stage process remains the same.

Stage 1

Imagine

Denizen arrives with no assumptions. At our first meeting, we’ll ask a lot of questions to learn about the project and really understand what you need to imagine its success.

Stage 2

Explore

The goal here is to cast a wide net. We sketch, noodle, turn over, reshape, merge together and break apart several ideas as we explore many answers for this schematic design phase.

Stage 3

Refine

By collaborating with you and key partners we’ll develop and refine the chosen direction together. Many hands and minds make light (and right) work.

Stage 4

Create

This is where things really come into focus and we draft the final documents.

Stage 5

Support

We believe well laid plans make for the best builds. And if a problem does come up, we support by getting the right people on the solution.

Stage 6

Inhabit

Arguably, the most important step is when we step aside. There’s no greater joy than seeing happy people, the real denizens or inhabitants, move into their new space.
